Tuckahoe Sand and Gravel replaced their aging wash plant with two Eagle Iron Works Classifying Tanks and two double screw Fine Material Washers. Since installing the new Eagle wash plant, Tuckahoe Sand and Gravel has tripled their production. In addition, DIBBLE EQUIPMENT also supplied a new Deister wash screen, the steel support structure and conveyors.
2,800 feet of 42" wide conveyor moving 700 TPH of 12” x 1 ¼” limestone from the quarry floor to the primary surge pile. The project also included a new Deister scalping screen, Deister vibrating pan feeder, Superior 150' Telestacker®, operator control tower, screen feed conveyor, and two transfer conveyors.
Plant layout and material flow designed by Ken Reitmeier and Rod Dibble for a 900 TPH Basalt quarry. The plant includes a gyratory primary, six cone crushers and five Deister screens. The Deister screens were setup for long term storage in order to protect the bearings while sitting idle during this two year project. Crusher centering feeders are utilized under large surge hoppers to center material in the cone while choke feeding in order to maximize cubical stone and liner wear. Heavy duty flop gates built into the discharge chutes of each screen allow blending of products and re-crushing unwanted products on the fly. Structures are designed to be enclosed at a future date to minimize dust and noise.

Sand and Gravel plant upgrade designed to eliminate clay in the final product while increasing the overall production of the plant and the finished product quality. The plant features a Deister primary washing screen that feeds a McLanahan Log washer which feeds a Deister rinse/sizing screen. The bottom deck throughs are collected and pumped via a McLanahan sump and pump to an existing classification tank.
